Cloud Management Platform

The European Weather Cloud provides the capability to control the cloud resources provided by ECMWF and EUMETSAT through a cloud management platform.

This platform is provided by Morpheus, an application capable of orchestrating multiple clouds. Each EWC federating partner offers a Morpheus instance to access the interconnected cloud services through a dedicated portal.

Each project with access to the European Weather Cloud is called a Tenant. Tenants are isolated environments with unique users and workloads, with no access or visibility to other tenants in the same infrastructure.

Users are given an account (tenancy) on one of these cloud management portals, and may deploy and manage their virtual resources and application environments to both cloud infrastructures (EUMETSAT and ECMWF) regardless of the home location of their tenancy.
